Andrea Rios M.Ed., BCBA

Founder and Owner – Clinical Director

Andrea holds a Master’s degree of Education from University of Massachusetts Lowell and has been a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst since 2012.

Andrea started in the field of developmental disabilities in 2005 and has extensive experience in behavioral and developmental assessments, treatment development and supervision in a variety of settings and with a broad range of clients of different ages and with varying degrees of needs. Andrea’s work experience includes private and government funded programs for children with autism and adolescents, consultation with school boards, long term care homes, treatment homes and hospitals. Andrea has experience teaming with clinicians of other disciplines to develop transdisciplinary treatment plans. In addition, Andrea provides clinical oversight of behaviour support plans (BSPs) for adults with severe problem behaviours in community settings to comply with O. Reg. 299/10: Quality Assurance Measures.

Andrea is also a BCBA-Independent Clinical Reviewer for the Independent Clinical Review Process (ICRP) for Ontario Autism Program (OAP).

At a personal level, Andrea is a mom to two very active teenage boys (and a dog) and is a gym enthusiast.

Leanne Arsenault, Reg OT (Ont)

Occupational Therapist

Leanne possesses a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from Western University and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion from The University of Guelph-Humber. Leanne is a registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists (COTO) and is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT). Leanne works with children of all ages infant-to-teen with complex disabilities focusing on quality of life. She has focused her career on community OT including home and school therapy while also working in a clinic setting. Leanne also works with children in a group-therapy setting. Leanne provides fun and engaging OT opportunities for clients using functional activities, play skills and sensory experiences to enhance each child’s development to work towards independence and achieve meaningful occupations. Leanne is consistently engaging in new courses to further enhance her current skills. Additional qualifications include: Handwriting Without Tears, Building Social Smarts, Practical Intervention Strategies for Children with ASD, Paediatric Feeding and Swallowing, Rhythmic Movement Training, NDT, Comprehensive Exploration of Self-Regulation.

In her leisure time, Leanne spends a lot of time with her family and stays active with sports and going to the gym.

Namita Cherian

After completing her Bachelors in Psychology at York University, Namita found her way to the field of ABA through a Hands-On training program for budding Instructor Therapists. After completing the program Namita then gained experience as an Instructor Therapist in a centre-based IBI setting and found a special interest in facilitating social skills programs. Namita enjoys finding creative and personalized ways of teaching various skills. Having worked in the field for over three years and being a global citizen, Namita is determined to grow in the field of ABA and to one day provide services to her home countries of India and Tanzania. She is currently in the process of acquiring her Registered Behavior Technician Certification and is aspiring to continue in the field of ABA.

Outside her life as a Therapist, Namita can be found writing food reviews and binge watching tv shows.

Cecilia Smith

Cecilia fell in love with a child with autism while working in childcare as a teen and has work with children with exceptionalities ever since. She has worked as a support staff in many community recreational and camp programs and began her ABA career 6 years ago after graduating with an ECE diploma from Seneca and Psychology degree from York University. Cecilia is someone who is very passionate about the improvement of a child’s life both in the classroom and at home. She puts her time and heart into creatively designing activities and programs that cater to each individual’s needs. One look into the rear-view mirror of her career and it is filled with both children and adult lives she has impacted as well as the unforgettable relationships she has built with them.

One of her main passions is Summer Camp and the many opportunities and experiences it grants. She hopes to develop a program soon.

Robin Jung

Robin has completed her undergraduate degree in Child and Youth Care from University of Victoria and holds a diploma in Early Learning and Child care.Her professional experience as an Early Childhood Educator has solidified her understanding of developmental ages and stages frameworks, as well as the impacts of developmental disabilities/delays on children.Since she furthered her education in CYC and working as an instructor therapist, she has come to learn essential skills that are required to provide a myriad of consulting and support services to children with developmental disabilities. She has provided therapy sessions in 1:1 and group settings for children and youth with autism, and partnerships with other community resources and professionals. She continuously strives to help others reach their educational goals through her commitment to lifelong learning.
